silver pendant?
what kind of pendant has the yr 1886 on back and H I N on front..shape of an iron cross approx half inch.?
I am looking to find out what it is ..war or otherwise…and possibly who it belonged to.it doesnt have any detail..just a plain ol iron cross shape w/ H I N engraved on front..and1886 on the back side, and appears to have broken off something like a war medal of sorts..looks to be real silver..however i could be wrong..it would be great if i could figure out what it was awarded for..and to whom..or if it has any significance at all.

I suspect that’s it. It’s from the “International Order of the King’s Daughters and Sons” and they were founded in 1886. The “HIN” is really “IHN” for “In His Name”. I don’t really know that much about the organization itself but I’ve dealt with medals and badges enough to be able to figure out what organizations they belong to.
